The umbrella in question broke after minor use. the interior frame became detached from the fabric of the canopy and the entire thing sags as a result. I used this maybe five times before it broke, and owned it for no more than 30 or 45 days, I believe.

I purchased this for my son and he loves it. It is just the right size to take along and is very well made. Time will tell, but I expect this will not blow apart like some of the other umbrellas out there.

I've owned my BB mini umbrella for about 2 years now and I'm happy to see that, when I went into a store last week, they've stuck to the design I have.
These umbrellas not only look great, they're also extremely well made. I go to school in North Carolina, so hurricane Irene hit here pretty badly back in August 2011. This little umbrella took me around campus throughout the storm as I ran from one shelter to another (mostly satisfying my typical college student addiction to caffeine at the coffee shops). Those winds would have ruined a lesser umbrella, but mine only had the fabric detach from one of the arms. Since it didn't rip, instead the sewing just unravelled due to the force of the winds, this was easily repaired by a tailor after the storm. Now, it's still good as new, 2 years and a hurricane later.

When you open it, you can tell it is a well made product. The wood handle is hefty and solid.
