Rated 3 out of 5 by maison21 a bit disappointed in the quality control.
lots of loose threads, and one of the arm seams is already unraveling after one washing. like the shirt, disappointed in the quality control on this shirt (bought two different shirts at the same time, and the other is fine).

Rated 4 out of 5 by KevinO When I first tried the shirt on, there was a ton of extra fabric in the torso (at least more than I was expecting for an "extra-slim"), so I was a little put-off. However, after two washes, much of the excess has shrunken away and the shirt's much slimmer.
That's not the only area that's smaller though. I'd recommend going up a size on both the collar and sleeve. I could close the collar in a pinch (for now, I'll mostly be wearing these casually), but it'd more comfortable had I sized up.
The shirt wrinkles a bit out of the dryer (I only leave it in for about 10 minutes), but nothing unacceptable for casual wear. I would recommend a quick ironing if you plan on wearing a jacket and/or tie.
Overall, I'm pleased with the shirt and will pick up some more as I build a new wardrobe. As others have mentioned the value of these is great.

I've said it before and every time I purchase one of these shirts it bears repeating—these shirts are the best value out there. Made in the USA, great fabric (softer and perhaps cheaper than previous versions that I've purchased), and quality workmanship. This is the first time I've tried the ESF and even going up a 1/2 size in the neck it still feels a bit snug around the chest and the sleeve feels a touch short. All this after a cold wash and low dry. I probably should've stuck with the normal slim fit. The color pink is bright at first, but will surely fade to a beautiful warm tone. This is one of my new favorites.

Rated 4 out of 5 by CliffordS Long sleeves?
The quality of the shirt is top notch. But be warned when ordering extra slim especially if you are used to the normal BB slim fit. These shirts are definitely extra slim fit, especially in the chest.
For myself, this isn't so much a problem. What I did find a little off is that the sleeves seem about 1" longer than normal. You may need to size down on the sleeves.

Great shirt made in the USA! Can't beat it!
Only received 4 sheep for the fit because of the center-back pleat. While this is traditional, please only put it on the traditional and regular fits! Slim and extra-slim isn't all that slim when you have pleats on your shirts... Side or none, please!

I don't have a long history with Brooks Brothers, and the closest retailer is an outlet in a city 3 hours away. However, in search of classic shirts decided to order a trio of OCBD's online. In comparison to most of the locally available brands, this shirt is heads and shoulders above them in price, fabric and details. The cloth is a nice, heavy weave. The collar points and roll are nicely done, and they attach to the band before the end of the placket, something I've not seen before. The shirring on the sleeve and button placement on the cuff are nice touches as well.
Having seen 'slim' shirts become anything but for my 6'2", 185 lb frame over the last 5 years, I decided to go with the 'Extra Slim Fit' in a 16x35. Collar, shoulders and chest fit very well, but i'll probably have the waist/lower back taken in just a little. I'd not mind an extra inch on the shirt tails, but they stay tucked so no complaints. Compared to fashion-forward brands it's not terribly slim, i'd consider it 'trim' or 'regular', for those of us with flat bellies.
I do wish more patterned shirts were available in regular untreated cotton, but Brooks seems to believe the market demands non-iron finishes. Hopefully they don't eliminate 'classic' cotton in the name of progress. I find it feels, ages and looks much nicer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nielsen Very well fitting oxford shirt
I'm not a big guy, so it can be hard to find a shirt that fits me properly. I usually go for Gitman Vintage, which is for me the perfect fit, but they're almost twice the price of this one from Brooks Brothers.
I took a chance and ordered an oxford from BB in extra-slim and I couldn't be more happy with the fit.
It fits just as well as one from Gitman Vintage, the quality is pretty much the same - and it's much cheaper.
I'm very happy with my purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sean Finally- a real slim fit from Brooks Brothers
I am about 5'9'', 155lbs and medium-athletic build. I thought the slim fit cut was still way too big for me. I took a gamble and ordered 3 of these oxford extra-slim fits and am pretty happy with them. The arm holes are higher, and the sleeves seem less baggy on the arms. There is enough fabric at the waste to give you a range of motion without a severe "ballooning" effect. My main criticism is that the chest pocket hits me at about mid chest level and I think it should be a little higher (across the pec area).

Rated 4 out of 5 by SamuelVG Very Nice Shirt.
When the shirt first arrived it fit so-so. Once I washed it (normal wash nothing special) it shrunk almost a half size. So the fit was great, very slim but the sleaves and neck became a tad bit smaller I'd suggest ordering the next size up . The fit is slimmer than the Black Fleece shirts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Arkie More Options in Extra-Slim Fit Please
I have a large neck but don't have a large body to match. Regular dress shirts fit me like a tent. Slim Fit shirts are better, but still too big in the body. The fit of the new Extra-Slim Fit shirt is almost perfect. I only wish Brooks Brothers would offer more options in Extra-Slim Fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by madcityjts simply perfect
I have now purchased two of these shirts. Unlike some of the other reviewers, I find the oxford cloth to be the perfect weight for comfortable, year-round wear. The quality is great, and I am always happy to find shirts that are still made in the U.S.A.
The fit is trim and works perfectly with my frame. While not as trim as some of the shirts from outfits like Band of Outsiders, the trimness is classic, almost like one would see in Ivy league campus photos from the early 60s.
Good stuff. Good value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dangerzone Great Shirt
This is one of the best shirts I have ever owned. Beware, however that the shirt cuff is slightly smaller than what some men might be used to. I am normally a 14.5/33 all day long, but I had to up to a 14.5/34 due to the cuff and shrinkage. Luckily, however, this did the trick and fits me better than any shirt I have ever purchased (including custom made to measure) and feels better too. It's made in America, feels great, inexpensive, classic, and fits perfect. You cant ask for more out of a shirt.
My entire shirt wardrobe will eventually consist of this shirt.

Supreme feeling oxford cloth. Made in the USA! The blue is the perfect shade. Shirt looks and feels very well made. I bought 3 ! A staple, for sure. Extra slim fit is a flattering even if you're not in tip top shape.

while the fit is exceptional, the collar lays perfectly, this shirt's material is unacceptably thin for oxford cloth, unless summer only use is desired.

I wore this shirt yesterday, I wore one today, and I will wear one tomorrow. That is what I think of this shirt.
They are made in America, have an amazing feel, and fit perfectly. I'm glad to say that I own one of these for every day of the week.
These are the MOST comfortable shirts I have ever owned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Badilla Best BD shirt for the money.
I really love this shirt. I really love the details, only one button cuff, the placket and the wash instruction label. The quality is so thick and nice and I'll probaly enjoy this shirt for many years. Only thing I don't like is the fit is a bit too tight over the shoulder (I'm 1.85 and weigh 87 and I wear 16/35) and that the fit, arm length, seems to vary from shirt to shirt (all same size of course!). Overall perfect shirt!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Timloe Great Quality and Look
These shirts rule! They look great and make you feel great. I agree with some other reviewers that the shoulders are a little tight and that the shirt could be a little trimmer. The thick Supima cotton seems to be less prone to wrinkling which is a big plus over the regular shirts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by thatkidwho Best so far
I've worn other OCBDC before and this has to be the best. The cloth is thick, the collar is sturdy and the front placket is firm. Others shirts just don't have enough weight in the cloth to keep the collar and plackets looking crisp all day. I'm very satisfied. I've read about shrinkage with these shirts but have not experience any after at least 4 washings.

The shirt fit nicely, but it was to long to look extremely good untucked, and it was a bit to tight around the waist to make it look extremely good tucked. But if you choose to do either it is nice. Thick, hefty, hard as cardboard at first, but once broken in you will be glad you kept wearing it all those times.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Stebus Excellent shirts for slim guys
Very comfortable shirts. Being a slim guy these fit so much better than most other shirts. There is a little ballooning around the waist on me but it is still a lot better than even the slim fit. Definitely the go-to style for anyone with a small waist.

I really enjoy these shirts. At first, the length was a bit long, but if you wash them, they really start to be more form-fitting.

Material was a little heavier than expected, but overall, the fit and color was good. Would buy another in a different color. The extra slim fit line from Brooks brothers are my favorite shirts.
