Beautifully Crafted
A classic accessory that must be in every mans wardrobe. The tie is made of rich black silk and it has an adjustable clasp, I purchased this bow-tie last year and it still looks as elegant and beautiful as the first time. I would love this same bow-tie in black velvet.

Excellent tie
second bow tie i have bought from Brooks and the first formal one. beautiful tie with a beautiful feel to it. it ties wonderfully as well.
i am wearing it with a satin lapel tuxedo, and i think it looks just fine

new tuxedo
i am a small man and i needed a new tuxedo. i needed a special order. Mens Warehouse in Vernon Hills IL refused to special order a tuxedo. i went to Brooks Brothers in Northbrook IL and the salesman was more than happy to special order a new tuxedo. Then tuxedo and all of the accessories are great

Very fine tie.
Lovely silk barathea fabric. Goes with the three-button, barathea vest. If one is looking for the shinier satin finish silk, this isn't it. Seems the listing should mention the fabric type. This tie would not go especially well with a tuxedo having satin lapels. Very nicely with barathea and quite well enough with grossgrain.
I rate the fit "excellent," because it will adjust to my size. Anyone with a neck larger than the maximum 18 inches would likely rate it "poor." Smallest adjustment is 13 1/2 inches. Seems the listing should mention the size range.
Adjustment is done by inserting a small metal "T" into one of series of small buttonholes, on the neck side of the tie. There will be no visible hardware, even with a wing collar.
The tie is great. I give the less than informative listing "fair," because I'm feeling charitable.
