Great shoes, difficult fit
I have a number of pairs of cordovan shoes. These are my favoraite to look at, but, unfortunately, the fit is not good. The cordovan version seems to run wider than the calfskin version, and over time they stretch out even more. Thus, depite the cost, these shoes end up stuffed in the back of my closet. My advice would be to purchase a width narrower than normal. They will be tight at first but will stretch to fit over time. I wish I could afford to buy another, narrower pair.

Simply The Best Shoes
I have been wearing Brooks tassel loafers for many years in leather and brown suede. I just discovered the wonders of shell cordovan. Its almost a misnomer using tje word shell. The are slightly hard to the touch in the store and thats why I didn't buy them I was afraid they would be too stiff. Just the opposite. When you wear them the cordovan leather is softer, more comfortable and moldsw to your feet giving you a really superior fit. The styling is perfect. I have tassel loafer from other companies, including English manufactures but these are the best.

best Preppy Shoe, still best
yep, I'm 40. this will be my third pair of the shoe I can't seem to live without. goes with everything from shorts and t-shirt to suit. Still made well too.

Made by Alden. Too bad they cost more than Alden"s tassel loafer but these are a little nicer. All time classic, nicest tassel loafer sold.
