Answer:
Both are acceptable styles right now so it's really just a personal style preference. I have both 2 and 3 button suits. I'd say overall the 2-button suit jacket is the more classic option and is likely to never go out of style. If you notice, nearly every politician is always wearing a 2-button suit. 3-button suits might be a little more on the trendy-side, but you can still certainly get a conservative 3 button suit. I'd stay away from anything other than 2 or 3 button suit jackets.

Answer:
Hello,

A two button suit jacket is a traditional look. Three button suit jackets usually compliment a man with a longer torso. However, it is a matter of preference.

Thank you for contacting us.

In the Suiting Essentials section the picture of the suit jacket when Navy is selected is a striped navy jacket. I was hoping it was actually plain, like the Charcoal suit essential.

A few questions:
Is the jacket center or side vent?
Does the jacket have pick stitching on the lapel?
Are the buttons already attached, or are they included separate for a tailor to attach?

Thanks!

Also, if I am 5,9, very 150 pounds, with long arms. Would the 346 in a 38R be a good bet?

Hello, thank you for your inquiry regarding the Two-Button Suiting Essential Jacket. Our Regent cut is similar to the Fitzgerald, but it features slightly higher armholes for a slimmer look. We recommend that you select the 41L for a proper fit. We do hope this information is helpful in your decision.
