Hello, thank you for your inquiry. A 38 Short will have shorter sleeve length and will not be as long in the body as a 38 Regular. The fit in the torso will not change, just the overall length of the garment. If your height is less than 5'8", we recommend selecting a 38 Short in our Golden Fleece Camel Hair Double-Breasted Polo Overcoat.
