An enduring friend
I first came across BB oxford button downs in college. I was amazed at how comfortable they were. When I trekked across Africa and the Sahara it was the shirt I wore to stay cool. Now, buying a half dozen at the annual sale it's like coming home to an old friend. Same excellent fit, same soft fabric, same enduring style.
With jeans or a suit this is the only shirt I ever need!

Depends on how you want to wear it.
This is not a "dress" shirt for a suit. The fabric is coarse and not finely woven. It is great for under a sweater, with or without a tie, and with a sport coat. Also great with a pair of jeans.

Answer:
My general experience is that 23/33 is 33 in and 34/35 is 35 in. So, if your 34/35 sized shirt feels long in the sleeves, order size 34. If it feels right, order 35. You can also go to a BB store and ask to be measured.2 years, 5 months ago

Answer:
Shirts with two numbers sleeve sizing have longer sleeves. The smaller number tightens the cuff around the wrist to cinch the sleeve and prevent it from falling to its maximum length (i.e. the larger number). If the shirts you own with two number sizing are too long with the cuffs unbuttoned, choose a sleeve length equal to the smaller of the two numbers. If the sleeve is the proper length with the cuffs unbuttoned, choose a sleeve length equal to the higher number.2 years, 5 months ago

Answer:
Choose the higher number if the sleeves on a 34/35 are a little shorter, and the lower number if they are too long. Otherwise, just order the higher number.2 years, 5 months ago

Should I allow for shrinkage in the fit of these shirts? I have a slim fit oxford from a few years ago that fits much smaller than slim fit non-irons in the exact same size. Is there rule of thumb such as going up an inch in neck and sleeve?

Answer:
The white shirts will shrink half an inch in the neck and sleeves, even if you don't use the dryer and hang them dry. In the 10+ shirts I have purchased in the last year, the blue, pink, blue stripe and red striped shirts have not shrunk at all.1 year, 4 months ago

Answer:
I have been told the classic cotton shirts are not pre-shrunk and therefore allow for a little shrinkage. I however purchase the same sizes in the classic, non-iron and luxury and have had no problems. T1 year, 5 months ago

Answer:
Hello,Oxford shirts might shrink after multiple washings. However, there is no rule stating one should buy a size up when purchasing products that might shrink.

I am cursed with a neck that is slightly larger than average. I would prefer a shirt with a 17" neck and a 32" sleeve. Since the 33" sleeve is the shortest i can order with the 17" neck, I would hope the cuffs come with a second button so I can tighten them up so that the cuffs don't dangle down around my knuckles. Dare I hope the Oxford cloth shirts come with a second button on the cuffs so that they can be adjusted? Thank you in advance.

Answer:
Check the catalogs. Sometimes one can custom-order the basic oxford shirts, e.g. pick the color, the collar size and style, sleeve length (sometimes even to the half-inch), pocket or not, etc.1 year, 5 months ago

Answer:
Hello,Unfortunately, there is not a second button on cuffs of our oxford shirts. However, because of your shirt sleeve measurement, our Made to Measure program might be a great option to explore. I am attaching a link for your reference about the Made to Measure program and process.
