A Donegal Apart I own the brown donegal Milano pants, which I have been wearing frequently during the winter and enjoying. I have never received as many complements on a pair of pants as I have with that particular pair. I purchased the charcoal recently and fancy those as well, although its donegal is significantly more muted than the brown's. I did not try the charcoal pair on until taking them to the store to be hemmed; fortunately, the lovely Susan at the Nashville location noticed that the charcoal Milano pair was inexplicably tighter and slightly smaller than the Milano flannel pair (#272J) I was also having hemmed. 2 fleeces withheld for the inconsistent fit among Milanos. Great fit, rich texture The fit of these after BB tailored them is perfect. The color and texture are very rich and the look is both elegant and relaxed. The look equally good with a button down or a turtlneck and blazer. Great buy. January 13, 2012

You have to buy same size Milano cut. Mirano cut is no small size. My size is 44 both Madison and Milano cut.

I have bought a pair of trousers "Milano cut" in my size (34R) just few days ago.Sincerely I have had no size/problems at the "waist" but the kind of cut is less confortable - in the movements - than Madison fit. If You may "allow" 1" at the waist I suggest You to choose size 34

I would go with a 34, unless you want a really tight fit. I wear a 36, and mine is a little tight.

The Madison fit is our fullest cut while our Milano is the slimmest. We would recommend sizing up, however for the best sizing please visit your local Brooks Brothers.

Your Donegal trousers (item 265J) really interest me, but I don't know which size I have to pick, as mine is 40r for suit, and 34x34 for chinos. Looking forward to your earliest reply!

Donegal is a county in Ireland. I know, that's not a question. Here's the question: if the fabric is woven in Italy, how can you call it "Donegal"? I'm pretty sure Ireland and Italy don't overlap, as there are numerous countries and some water in between.

Hello, thank you for your inquiry. We are certainly aware of the origins of Donegal as we have many partnerships with mills throughout Ireland and the UK. Often times, this term is used in fashion to refer to Donegal-inspired garments. While this fabric was woven in Italy at one of our premium mills, the look achieved is that of a traditional Irish offering.
