Rated 5 out of 5 by Love this jacket I wanted this jacket for a long time and finally bought it last year. I wear it at least once a week, all year round. It doesn't wrinkle, the length is good for pants or skirts. The dark navy is dressy and the buttons are subtle. The way the pockets are slanted makes your waist looks smaller. I wish it came in more colors! I'd love black, stone, and even a rich red. It looks elegant and expensive. December 12, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Treated Myself I love my new Brooks Brothers navy blazer. After making sure that both of my sons and my husband are looking dapper in THEIR blazers, I thought, Where is Mine? It was a bit of a splurge to be sure, but when I tried it on, I knew that it was a keeper. The shoulders fit beautifully, and my tailor had no trouble shortening the sleeves a tad and moving the buttons. The fabric is great. I got great compliments when wearing it for the first time last night. SO glad I treated myself at last. June 15, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Navy Blazer This blazer is beautifully made, but cut just a bit too slim for the average American woman. There is absolutely no room to breathe in the fit, so it feels too constricting, especially across the back. I wear the same size in all other brands, but Brooks in the same size is too snug. If I go up a size, the jacket is too big. I love the jacket, and it is made beautifully, but a bit more wiggle room would make it perfect. January 6, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Timeless piece I was so excited to finally get this jacket! It is so "corporate looking" in the office, then can also be business casual attending the CES, and finally weekend casual with a pair of jeans, cheering on my daughter's basketball team. This jacket is a wardrobe staple. I love the various looks, and mood it can put me in! As a working mom of 4, I have to ensure my wardrobe pieces are versatile, durable and sustainable throughout my busy schedule. January 16, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Timeless Terrific jacket that works for all seasons. This will be a staple in my wardrobe for years to come! August 13, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by All time favorite The fit looks custom without the hassle of a tailor and will accomodate a larger bust - very nicely. The buttons and hand of the fabric are exceptional. April 23, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Dresses Up Everything I had been eyeing this jacket for months when my husband gave it to me for Mother's Day. Its tailored fit sets it apart from all the boxy uniform blazers out there. For those still wondering about fit, I am 5'3", 113 lbs., and the regular size 2 fits perfectly except that the sleeves had to be shortened a tad -- which is typical of all of my blazers. The fabric is a fine 2 to 3 season wool and the color the deepest navy. This blazer is an essential to every wardroble. It stands out on its own while accenting anything paired with it. June 28, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Exactly what I was looking for! I've been looking for some time for a quality tropical weight wool jacket to replace an old favorite that had seen better days. This blazer is perfect - high quality fabric, well-made and true to size. Looks elegant for work but also adds classic style to jeans and khakis on the weekend. I couldn't be happier and only wish I had ordered it sooner. July 27, 2011

Answer:
The lining is a navy color that closely matches the color of the jacket. The lining has a satiny sheen. According to the label, the lining is 100% Bemberg Cupro. Also, there is a small pocket on the inside of jacket on the left.

I have been coveting this jacket for a very long time, but since I don't have a store location overly-available, can anyone advise on the fit for a 5'10", size 8 woman?

I'm 5'7'', this size 4 blazer looks too long for me. So I guess it is designed for really tall women.

I would suggest a size 10. Their sizes tend to run a bit on the small side.

Answer:
Hello,

The jacket should fit; there might be an issue with sleeve length. If so, the sleeves can be altered to make longer.

Thank you for contacting us.

Have a great day.

Answer:
The blazer is a stand alone jacket that has the freedom to be paired with different colored bottoms. It is not normally worn with matching or the same color pants or trousers.

We would recommend khaki or charcoal grey colored pants with this blazer for a traditional and timeless combination.

Answer:
I personally think that this blazer would look wonderful on any person, regardless of size. It's such a classic. I don't know much about sewing so I don't know how the buttons are attached, per se. However, another reviewer had her buttons moved when her sleeves were shortened, and it didn't seem to cause her any problems. I say, buy one! You won't regret it.

Answer:
Hello,

We suggest that you purchase a “Petite Classic Single-Breasted Blazer” the sleeve length may be okay and not need any alterations. Petite styles are fit on a “Petite fit model” and are suitable for “petite size women.”

If you need the sleeves shortened, it is possible as we have changed the button holes on the sleeve vents to be easily removed for alterations.

Thanks for contacting us. Have a great day.

Answer:
Hello, thank you for your inquiry. Our Classic Single-Breasted Blazer is a versatile choice and is very much a customer favorite. We recommend choosing a size that is commensurate to the width of your shoulders and that will dictate the proper size, not the bust or waistline. From there, you may have it altered by your own tailor for the best fit.

We do hope this information is helpful.
Kind regards,
Brooks Brothers
