Not Happy Not being familiar with the 514 slim fit I went on trust but discovered a "boot cut" jean in my parcel with way too generous a leg opening. I wanted a slim fit jean, BB did not deliver it. If you want a slimmer straight cut jean don't make the same mistake I made. September 21, 2012
"Feel Good" Jeans "Feel Good" about wearing the long-standing American quality of Brooks Brothers and Levis combined and look great at the same time. The fit is snug in the legs and seat and are a little low in the waist. And they're long. Mine are 34" length and are rather long-ish. But they can be cuffed if desired. Great pants. January 17, 2012

I've found the fit is practically the same. The Levis from Brooks are a lot softer, and more comfortable, so they seem a bit more "relaxed", but I'd say that's just due to the feel - the actual fit of them is the same.

The models are the same. The Levi's for Brooks Brothers jeans are all made in the USA with hand-treated finishes. The trims are co-branded.

I recently purchased a pair of the Levi's 501 for Brooks Brothers in the Dark Tumble color, and like the denim very much. I've been thinking about ordering a pair of the lower-rise 514s as well, and was wondering what (if any) are the differences in the color and weight of the material between the Dark Tumble in the 501s, and the Dark Rinse Wash in the 514s.

Overall the color is about the same, the effect, however, is slightly different. The dark rinse is less "distressed" and ever-so-slightly darker.

There is no change in weight and all the jeans are 100% cotton. The Dark Rinse: Dark, clean-finished denim washed once for a softer feel.

Dark Tumble: All over medium-dark blue washed for softness and comfort.

How slim?

I have several pairs of the BB slim fit 5-pocket cords and vintage chinos and prefer their cut. If I were thinking of purchasing these 514s would they have a similar fit or be looser?

I own various Milano fit and slim 5-pocket pants. The Slim fit Levis are a bit looser (though by no means "baggy").

I have checked on this site periodically for size 32/32 Levis 514 jeans in a dark wash/or dark rinse....

I have not seen them available? Can you give me any idea IF and When that size might become available?
