Solid Dress Shirt
I bought this shirt for a wedding reception I was attending and I really liked the feel of the shirt. It material of the shirt makes it feel like it "wears well" with a suit. The material is thick enough to be worn comfortably an undershirt.
I'm still not convinced that "extra-slim" is really cut that well. The shirt feels about two inches too short.

Solid Gold
I have worn many shirts over the years; however, this is the pinnacle of mens dress shirts. I have worn designer shirts from around the world and this is the first shirt I reach for. I would say that there is no comparable item that I have worn that has lasted as long and maintained its crisp and sharp appeal. No man is complete without this shirt in his arsenal. Even if you only button up once a year, this is the shirt to button.

14" neck please!
The shirt is good quality but I'd need a 14" for a perfect fit. If you're going to have an extra-slim fit, why not have a smaller neck size and waist too (like other shirt-makers)? The arms could also be slimmer through the middle.

Best fitting Shirt, but poor quality on some
Finally a shirt for us skinny guys! I've been looking for a shirt like this for years. Has the classic Brooks Brothers style, yet a perfect fit. Only downside is the quality on some of the shirts. I notice a lot of loose threads after a few washings; although this is common with some dress shirts, this isn't the usual Brooks Brothers quality. I know it will last though, as with all Brooks Brothers shirts. But regardless, finally finding a good shirt the fits makes the few quality issues dismissible. Make it in more colors!!!

Is it only the sleeve length difference or will the shirt (chest/torso area) get bigger if I go from 16 32 to 16 33 in non-iron extra slim fit shirt? If it is just the sleeve length that changes between 16 32 and 16 33, I would probably go for 16 33 as I'm between sizes. However, if the overall size gets bigger, I'll stick with 16 32. I also would like to know how much the non iron shirt will shrink, if any. This would help me if I should get a half size bigger collar in 16 1/2 33 instead or at least a 16 33 thinking about sleeves becoming short although I did hear that going half size up in collar size will make the overall shirt size bigger. Thank you.

Answer:
In my experience, the shirts do not shrink at all.I can tell you that the shirt sizing will not change based on sleeve length. They do open up a touch based on neck measurements, however. I am a true 15.5" in the neck but bought over a dozen Extra Slim Fit shirts with a 16" neck to accommodate my broader chest. While I have subsequently bought Slim Fit shirts in my true neck size, I can tell you that increasing the neck size offered more room in the chest. Sleeve size, however, did not.

Answer:
My experience with non-iron shirts is that the longer sleeve has no impact on chest size. I too am between a 34/35 sleeve and always get the longer so it doesn't pull on the torso. Also, I've experienced minimal shrinkage on the non-iron cottons. However, if 16 is snug it will shrink a smidgen. I believe industry standard is 5% and I'd guestimate mine shrink less than 2%. I'm really an 18 3/8 neck, but always get the 18 1/2. Besides, wouldn't you rather have it just a little bit loose rather than snug? Your brain does need SOME oxygen. ;-)1 year, 10 months ago

Answer:
Hello Zakgod,Purchasing a shirt with a slightly longer length will not change the torso measurements. This holds true when the difference in sleeve length is one inch. We are unable to answer your second inquiry on shrinkage of non-iron shirts after laundering. Our non-iron shirts are laundered up too 50 times for optimal testing on durability.

Slim fit shirts were snug in the shoulders, but became loose around the waist for me.

Answer:
The neck and sleeve measurements that your currently wearing, if accurate, will remain the same. The shirt is simply cut closer in the chest and waist. That shouldn't affect your neck measurement.1 year, 7 months ago

I find that the fit is better (tighter and cleaner) without the pleating/venting folds in the upper center back.

I have a few of these shirts in size 15.5/36. The neck and sleeve are perfect. They're just a bit too tight in the shoulders for my taste, so I was wondering what the next best size would be.
Is a size 16/36 going to be wider in the shoulders?
Or should I consider the slim fit version in the same size (15.5/36)? Is that wider than the extra-slim fit version that I have?
Thank You

Hello sir, thank you for your inquiry. We are very glad to help indeed. We recommend that you select a size 15.5 x 36 in our Slim fit as opposed to increasing your neck size in our Extra Slim. The Slim fit is a bit more relaxed in the shoulders and chest with a slightly lower armhole. You will find this should alleviate the constriction in the shoulders for a more comfortable feel. If you chose to increase your neck size in Extra Slim, you will sacrifice the fit in the chest and torso. Of course, you may certainly return or exchange the item within 90 days if you prefer to try both. Often it is matter of personal taste and comfort, but we think moving to the Slim fit will resolve much of the discomfort you are experiencing within the shoulders. For your convenience, we have attached a screenshot of our fit guide to better illustrate the differences between each.
We do hope this information is helpful. Thank you for your patronage.
Kind regards,
Brooks Brothers
