Rated 5 out of 5 by Outstanding These are the best stays available. Multiple sizes in the set accommodate many collars. They are heavy enough to weight the points and correctly shape the collar. I will never use plastic stays again. Just remember to take them out before the shirts go to the cleaners. December 15, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Colar stays are great, but size matters! Happy with the quality so far and glad I bought them. I was tired of the plastic stays that lose shape. These are sturdy, but you need to make sure you remember to remove them before getting laundered. One thing I was disappointed on was that they did not provide more of the larger size. While a variety of sizes is great and will help to fit many shirts, it only came with a few larger stays that fit Brooks Brothers shirts. January 13, 2012

The gold is 12kt gold plated brass. The silver is rhodium plated brass.

A few years ago I purchased a set of the "gold" collar stays. The set comes in a leather case with 18 collar stays (6 collar stays in each of three sizes - short, medium, long).

When I purchased the BB plastic collar stays 3 years ago, I believe that I received 3 pairs for each of the three sizes. It may have changed since however.

Both are "classic" colors. The gold won't show through unless its a sheer shirt collar.

Currently, there is nothing in the FAA regulations prohibiting collar stays from being a carry on. However, please check their website to confirm this information.
