Rated 5 out of 5 by Emerson Great Tie
Great Tie. Doesn't bunch and ties easily (granted you know how to tie a bowtie) And perfect colors to wear with a blue blazer.

I'm not really sure what there is to say about this tie. It's a lot of fun and is something a little different than you usually see out there. If you're looking to get in to bow ties, don't be afraid -- they're a lot easier to tie than you'd think. I highly recommend any bow tie from Brooks Brothers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TradfromNC A classic bow from a classic retailer.
Other stores offer wide stripe bows but none are even on par with Brooks.

Answer:
For a bow tie, you can usually wear any type of collar. I tend to wear it with a straight collar (with collar stays) as opposed to a buttoned collar. It's all a matter of preference.1 year, 10 months ago

Answer:
Any type of collar can be worn with a bow tie. I prefer to wear them with the Ainsley and button-down collars. As long as the bow tie is not wider than the outer edge of the collar, it's a good combination!http://blog.brooksbrothers.com/ask/bow-knows/

Answer:
It's a matter of personal preference but I think the bow looks best with a button down or a moderate spread. A long point collar usually interfers with the bow and a cutaway or wide spread usually looks unfinished with a bow rather than a full windsor knot filling the tie space.1 year, 11 months ago

Answer:
I use the same collar size for the shirt but then tighten the bow tie by a half-size. For example, I normally wear a size 16 collar. Thus, when wearing a bow tie, I still wear a size 16 shirt but then tighten the bow tie to a 15-and-a-half. That way, the bow itself is not too large when tied.2 years, 7 months ago

Answer:
I would suggest not wearing it with a spread collar, or a narrow pointed collared shirt. It should show off the piece of neckwear neatly, so one should wish to avoid either extreme in this matter. I hope this helps.2 years, 7 months ago
