why so tight? Compared with the Supima sweater I got a couple of years ago, this one feels one size smaller. The old one fits fine, but this new one is tight around the body and shorter in the sleeves. March 26, 2012
Go-To Spring Sweater This super soft, well-fitting, clean-lined sweater is my go-to sweater this spring. During my last visit to BB, I bought a couple of these to try out and will defintiely be returning to get a couple more. The fit is great -- I bought my usual size and it still fits comfortably over a polo shirt or a button-down shirt with a clean, fitting look (not the baggy, bulky look of some brands). Once again, BB has made a great, high quality item with clean lines, great material, and is a great go-to item for any season. March 15, 2012
Best Cotton Sweater I have other cotton sweaters that do not compare, the quality if great, the cotton is very comfortable and I will definitely buy more of them. February 22, 2012

Answer:
Unlike shirts, tailored suits, or trousers there are no specific fits for sweaters. The fit can be characterized as traditional.

The washing instructions on the tag say, "Tumble dry low. Do not dry flat." I dry all my other sweaters flat because I do not want to shrink them in the wash. Why should I not dry this sweater flat? Thank you.

Answer:
As a solid this can be dried flat; however, for our cotton sweaters we indicate do not dry flat in case it is a multi colored sweater to help eliminate any color bleeding/migration.

Answer:
I would go with the Large (Slim Fit). That's my best guess based upon the few descriptions you provide of your build. If I were you I would go through BB's sizing guide that they provide online on their website. In the guide you'll find that the details regarding such things as arm length measurement, length of sweater from top to bottom, etc. Just measure your specifics and match them up with the guide and you should be able to figure out what size to buy. I still think the right size will probably be the Large (Slim Fit) that I mentioned at the outset.
Good luck!

Answer:
Hello, thank you for your inquiry. We would not recommend dry-cleaning the Supima V-Neck Sweater as the process is quite harsh and rather damaging to natural fibers such as high-quality Supima cotton. Dry cleaning pulls moisture from the garment which often causes it to break down over time.

We do hope this information is helpful.

To whom it may concern:
I have a swimmer's build, about a 42" chest with a waist on the narrow side. I am 6'1" and about 200 lbs. I do not like bulky, loose-fitting sweaters. Should I be looking at large for this sweater?
Thank you.

Answer:
Hi, I have similar frame and usually order large when buying Brooks Brothers sweaters. Some of them are fitted, some a bit bulky for me. The main reason I order large is that I have quite long arms (36 from center back), otherwise I would order medium.
