A public love letter to the merino crewneck
Where the product is produced is irrelevant to me. I'd venture to say, at the price, this is the best sweater on the market. What I most appreciate about this sweater is its ability to retain its shape after multiple wearings. This quality is especially important for wool sweaters, a tricky item to wash. Other sweaters stretch out after even a single wearing, gaining a half size in the neck, arms and body after being pulled on and off the wearer. That's not the case with this sweater. I wouldn't recommend doing so, but you could probably wear this sweater for a month straight without it showing any visual signs of usage, fitting as well on day one as on day thirty. Granted, olfactory signs of usage might be more perceptible. Furthermore, its weight and texture are close to ideal, sufficiently warm but not rebarbatively wooly. There's no single piece of clothing I can offer a stronger endorsement. If you let your fixation on where it's not produced preclude you from purchasing it, you'll be missing out on a great product.

Made in America??? Which???
I first started buying from Brooks more than forty years ago. Quality has been up and down. In the past few years, most of your products have been "outsourced." Quality of these sweaters, and other products, such as underwear, have deteriorated. I find your "Made in America" advertisements offensive.............few of your products are "Made in America."
All said, it is time to end my relationship with Brooks. Just be honest and note that most of your products are "Made in the Far East."

Answer:
Hello, thank you for your inquiry. Our Merino Crewneck Sweater is not slim, it is more of a traditional fit. It is indeed a lightweight sweater that has a bit of stretch so it may be easily layered over a sport shirt or even a tee shirt. In addition, it is perfect for warmer climates where it may even be worn in place of a jacket. We do hope this information is helpful.
Kind regards,
