Rated 5 out of 5 by Brooks Brothers, please bring this back! This sweater is outstanding, and I only regret that I didn't buy a second one in gray and another in ivory when I had the chance. The wool is whisper-soft, a lightweight layer under a suit jacket, making it an ideal multi-season wardrobe essential. The gray, which is now sold out, is a great match for the color of many business outfits. This sweater is well made and is true to size. A lovely fit and shape. The neckline is just low enough to be flattering and to show off a 16-inch necklace, but not so low that it compromises your professionalism by revealing too much. It packs great and doesn't wrinkle. The wool feels great against the skin without the itch that inferior wools can cause. Brooks Brothers, please bring this back in the same gray. This is a piece to stock up on! Perhaps in other colors, too? May 24, 2013

Answer:
I think it's supposed to be warmer? But my saxxon wool sweater came in today and the tag says "100% merino wool".

Answer:
Hello, thank you for your inquiry, what an excellent question you ask. Saxxon wool is actually a superior form of merino wool. It is very lightweight, has a natural stretch, and a softness that rivals cashmere. It has maintained its purity since 1765, when the original flock of sheep were gifted to the Elector of Saxony by the King of Spain. These sheep are direct ancestors to the flock that currently provide our supply of Saxxon wool.

What makes Saxxon wool so soft and durable is the crimp of the yarns, which helps to capture air and increase elasticity. Additionally, it is much more resistant to wrinkles.

We do hope this information is helpful.
Kind regards,
