Full fit. Extraordinarily comfortable. Great hand. The same shirts of my youth. Simply the greatest dress shirt on earth, and the only dress shirts I wear.

These are a classic and comfy but too heavy for business. I prefer the lighter pinpoints under a jacket. These are good for a crisp day with jeans

Rated 5 out of 5 by Burns8691 Forgot how nice Oxford Cloth Shirts can be.
My dad when he was alive used to pick up BB oxford cloth button downs for his work wardrobe while on vacation in the US and he loved them.
Out of fond memories of dad, I stopped by the Toronto location recently and picked up the blue and white solid OCBD, I forgot how nice oxford cloth can be. I picked out the traditional fit and it fits well on me. If you can, it pays to try on before you buy, traditional fit can be generous on some people.
At some point I want to get a solid pink, and the university stripe OCBDs to complete the set.
The customer service is first rate at the Toronto store underneath the Royal Bank Plaza.

I have been wearing these Brooks Brothers shirts for 25 years now. They are the most comfortable business shirt made. I have noticed in recent years, however, that the cloth used to make the shirts, especially at the neck, is thicker than it used to be. The neck seems to be just a bit smaller also. As a result, the shirt is less comfortable and the collar is losing some of that distinctive Brooks Brothers look that I have valued over the years. Overall, it is still a great shirt, but not quite as great as it used to be.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Renwick A Traditional Oxford Dress Shirt
I almost bought the Brooks Brothers Oxford that did not need ironed but decided to go with the Traditional Cotton Oxford because I still like heavy starched shirts from my days in The Army. I bought five white Oxfords because the company I am with only allows white shirts. I like these because they are slightly heavier, made in The USA and because it is a Brooks Brothers product, the cotton is high quality. Sizes run true to fit and the fit is not overly large like you might expect. Will buy 2 or 3 more.

This is the classic oxford buttondown shirt that used to bear "Makers" label. It is the full-cut shirt that I used to wear in prep school. I love the fact that it is cut to measure -- only a few shirt makers still cut the sleeves to the inch. The absense of the extra buttons on the cuff, and the lack of the button hole and button on the foresleeve attest to the good fit. I only wish it came in more colors.

I bought one in white and dress in it for special occasions. I don't necessarily wear BB for work, but like the special shirt for family functions. I went to the Philadelphia store and they are most helpful there. I mistakenly bought the Brooks cool in pink but then later exchanged it for the white basic full oxford.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Parisswims These are the best all cotton shirts I can find.
These shirts don't shrink at the laundry or at home. They last a long time. The cotton feels great -- way better than the so-call all cotton no-iron shirts, which have a weird cardboard like texture.
I've tried a number of other brands like Pink, Ike Behar, Joe Banks, etc., but the Brooks shirts can't be beat.

The standard, traditional Supima oxford cloth button down has been my favorite shirt for over 30 years. I never get tired of them and they always look great. Even when I occasionally buy a fancy dress shirt, I always end up going back to the old original.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Klaatu Not Up To The Former Standard But Still Good
The current version of this classic shirt seems skimpier, both as to fabric and cut, and noticeably less well made than earlier examples but it still trumps the competitiion for appearance and value.

I own several dozen in various colors, some decades old.
I wish the collar and cuff were unlined or at least had a softer lining. I also wish it was still offered in peach, stone, helio, and green.

This shirt is the best shirt on the market. It is comfortable and breathing and versatile: for both dressy and casual circumstances. Plus it is an American classic.

I've bought dozens of these. The quality remains very good. The white ones are whiter that they used to be, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JSRjr Monogram
I recently purchased 7 oxford cloth button downs with a block monogram. I was disappointed with the size of the monogram itself. It is 1/4" tall and really is to tall. I remember my first trip to Brooks Brothers on Peachtree Street in Atlanta over 30 years ago as a teenager. For years I wore the same shirts monogramed and the actual size was smaller. Even the example on the internet apppears to be smaller. About 10 years ago I started buying shirts from Robert Talbott but recently decided to go back and try the oxford cloth. The quality is similar to what I remembered; however if I order these shirts again in the future (or for my 2 sons) I will have the monogram done elsewhere.

Rated 4 out of 5 by medman too much material
shirt was of superior quality, but my neck and length of body don't match the shirt. There was too much shirt both in length and size of of shirt. I'm 5'10 with neck of 19". shirt was like tent to my body. I am spending $10 to have excess material cut off the shirt and shape it to my body. I probably should have ordered custom made shirt in first place.

I have bought Brooks shirts for some 30 years. I particularly like the end on end broadcloth's and the pinpoint cottons. This time i bought the Supima Oxford shirt and was very pleased with the fit and quality of this shirt as compared to other custom and high end retailers that I had purchased from in the past few years. The material is substantial and the finish is done very well. Overall a good addition to your wardrobe.

I have sampled several Brooks Brothers shirts and own only eight. I shop at Brooks to cast my vote for American jobs. Like other Brooks shirts made in the USA it has impeccable tailoring. Unfortunately, like too many USA BB shirts, the fabric is difficult to press. I strongly recommend that Brooks Brothers provide it’s American tailors with more easy care fabric.
