Take opposite corners and alternate folding inward toward the center in thirds until a 2-inch wide band is formed. (This is called folding "along the bias.")
Grasp the two ends and drape behind around neck, with one end hanging slightly lower than the other.
Take shorter end, wrap it around in front of the longer end and bring it up through the loop created.
Grasp both ends of scarf and tie into a double knot behind the neck.
Tuck in loose ends and adjust scarf so that it lays nicely in a circular shape.
