Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Favorite Tux Shirt Great fit. Great quality, but very expensive. I’m a professional musician so I am in formalwear often. This is a wonderful shirt. It costs twice what the shirt should cost, though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I was looking for.... I was looking for a classic Bib-Front Tux Shirt that looked awesome and was comfortable. This shirt exceeded my requirements. A great look, fit and comfort with or without a tie.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Tux Shirt I've Owned I bought this shirt about a month ago for a gala. From the reviews, I was slightly skeptical. I'm 6'4" and about 190 pounds - broad shoulders and slim mid section. As you might imagine from reading other reviews testifying to bagginess, I was weary that this might not be the shirt for me, even though I prefer bib fronts to pleated. I make it a personal policy, however, to try suits and dress shirts on in the store before I buy, so I headed over to our local store in KC and tried the shirt on. To say it was perfect is an understatement. It felt custom; the shoulders fit well and the mid section fit like a glove. There wasn't an ounce of bagginess. And of course, the quality of the material lived up to the usual Brooks Brothers standard. The only thing I'm disappointed with when it comes to this shirt is that I don't have more events to be able to wear it to. I would still strongly advise trying the shirt on in-store before buying, but I would recommend this shirt to any man looking for a sharp tux shirt.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice looking, but collar came apart after one wash I loved the look and finish of this shirt. It is cut for a full sized man, so it will be blousy if you're slim, however. Would have rated it higher but the collar developed a peculiar thread separation in the middle after one wash, and it got worse after the second wash. The shirt is ruined. I wouldn't recommend.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Shirt was enormous Too much extra fabric and I'm not a thin guy. Felt like I was wearing a tent.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality shirt, but fit still key Materials and construction top-notch, as expected. But do try on before expected occasion, especially if you typically wear slim / Milano. Was bit too puffy in lower back and just above cummerbund (if you deign wear one).

My Brooks Brothers dress shirt size is 16-32. Should I size up to 16.5-32 due to purple label? I do not like tight fit shirts.

Asked by: Peterporscher
Hello sir, thank you for your inquiry into our Bib-Front Spread Collar Formal Tuxedo Shirt. The purple label denotes that this is our Regular fit. You would not need to size up for this unless perhaps you typically wear our Traditional fit, which is the fullest. We do hope this information is helpful in your decision. Kind regards, Brooks Brothers

Spread collar and a bow tie?

Is the look of a bow tie okay/appropriate for this "spread collar" bib formal shirt? It's shown with a long tie which I don't prefer with a tux. I have traditional collars on my other tux shirts. Thanks...
Asked by: Cawood
Think James Bond. Spread collar. Bow tie. Classic. Don't know why BB has the long tie paired with this shirt.
