Just 20 minutes by subway from Brooks Brothers’ home at 346 Madison Avenue stands our Long Island City tie factory. Manufacturing in New York is part of our history and a tradition that spans two centuries. In a city that evolves by the day this facility remains somewhat of an anomaly, and the community-like feel fostered by the employees is reflected in the meticulous quality of our ties.
An Iconic Tie Collection
Brooks Brothers has produced ties within ten miles of our New York City headquarters for well over a century. The workers in our current facility proudly continue this tradition-crafting neckwear from the finest Italian and English silk.
“When I first moved to the U.S., I was looking for a place in New York that made me feel welcome, somewhere that made me feel like I was home. The tie factory gave me that sense of home.”
“The history of Brooks Brothers mirrors that of the city. If you look at a map of our locations and you place them chronologically on a map, you see an unfolding of the city itself.”
“One commonality that the LIC family has is how truly proud we are to be based here in New York City and how proud we are to be one of the few companies to make in America.”
“I feel a sense of pride when I’m walking around the city and I recognize a Brooks Brothers tie on someone walking by. It makes me proud to know that I had a hand in creating that tie.”
“Sewing and craftsmanship is my passion. Teaching someone how to craft a tie makes me very proud because I know that art form is going to live on in a sense.”
“It's the attention to quality and uncompromising standard that differentiates Brooks Brothers. We are able to assure that by manufacturing in the US.”
