  • Description

    • This iconic 1818 suit is crafted in the USA from the world's finest fabrics, woven in Italy. Elements of fine construction can be found in each suit, from hand tailoring in the arm openings for comfort, to the traditional Italian-made internal canvas that creates the perfect lapel roll and a customized fit.
      The Milano Fit
Two-button suit, made from super 110's wool. The Milano Fit is our slimmest, with the highest armhole and features a shorter jacket with narrow lapels. Hand-sewn upper armhole combines comfort with ease of movement. Thinner, softer shoulder pads. Side vents. Flat-front trousers. Dry clean. Made in the USA from fine Italian fabric. As a symbol of our dedication to American manufacturing, your Milano Fit suit arrives with an American Flag pin fastened in the lapel.

Additional Help with Your Purchase

Milano Fit Solid 1818 Suit is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classic style with a modern fit I bought the solid black BB 1818 and it fits so well off the rack that the only thing needed in terms of tailoring is to finish the inseam, as the pants arrive unfinished and 8 inches longer than my legs. I am 5'7", 150 and athletic, a 38S fits me like it was tailored for me from the factory. The armholes are high enough to allow for maximum mobility, the suit could be used by a stuntman in a Bond movie. One often overlooked aspect of wearing a suit is concealed carry, and my G42 works well with this suit due to the athletically-tailored fitting of the suit. There is a 6 inch drop (38 chest, 32 waist) so I could afford to let the waist out 1 inch to allow for more holstering options. I still find that shooting one handed is the most ideal for fitted suits if the goal is to minimize the chances of tearing the sleeves or back. I wear black suits for everything, I pay no attention to "style gurus" that such choices are not good style. No person with fashion sense could look at this suit in an office setting (or any setting) and say it is unacceptable attire, it just looks too good. The versatility, high armholes, 60's slim fit style and comfort make this suit not only a great value and comfortable staple, but the new standard in classic, functional style.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very slim fit This suit is as advertised. Very slim fit. You need a slim athletic build for proper fit. I ordered a 42 extra long. The coat fits very well. Pants are 36" and fit slightly loose. A note on Brook Brothers pants. On my skinny times I have a 33" waist but have to order 35". Heavier times a 34" waist but have to order 36". Suit fits well and looks sharp.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great jacket; pants too big/too much high rise I bought this a month ago after buying another milano in the store. The jacket fits great, but the pants have a high rise, and too much that the tailor at the BB store can't do anything more. These pants don't feel/fit like a milano suit pant, but more like a madison. If you need a low rise pant, don't get this suit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Quality I'm very satisfied with the quality of the fabric used in this suit. The fabric weight is heavier than a summer suit, allowing one to wear it in more than one season. Suit does fit trim.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Did not meet my expectation Not good enough for the price. Material is just ok, feels cheap. Quality can be improved.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Suit Review Love the quality of the material. Much higher fit in the armhole area with more pads in shoulders. Having my tailor doing alterations which will make this one of my favorite Brooks' suits. Much different from other designed BB suits but satisfied with this style.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Be aware of shoulder pads Be aware that unlike Fitzgerald and Madison fit, Milano suit jackets now come with shoulder pads. As a result, the feel and shape at shoulders may be somewhat different with "traditional" BB suit jackets. Overall a decent suit!

How many variations are there of the Milano?

Hi, I just bought a suit at a Brooks Brothers branch in London. There was no label on the cuff and inside the jacket, there's only a Brooks Brothers logo in blue and gold trim. There's a "Made in Italy" label up top. It's a fairly closely-cut three-button roll 2 suit, with normal-sized lapels, side vents, soft shoulders, and a curved, barchetta-style breast pocket. The salesman told me it was a Milano, but I haven't found it anywhere on your site. Do you have any idea which Brooks Brothers line would have this kind of suit? Thanks!
Asked by: Afochan
Hello, thank you for your inquiry. How wonderful it is to here that you stopped into our London store. We do hope you enjoyed your visit. It does sound as though you purchased a suit in our Milano fit, since you've noted it is closely-cut. We have four fits for our suits at Brooks Brothers: Milano, Regent, Fitzgerald and Madison... with Milano being our trimmest and Madison our most generous. In order to browse our selection of Milano fit suits, simply hover over "Men" at the main navigation above each page and you will then select "Suits." From there, you may utilize the filter at the left side of the page to refine your search by fit, here you will select Milano. Hopefully from there you will find the suit you purchased in London. It is suprising that the fit is not embroidered below Brooks Brothers at the left chest pocket at the interior. Typically, that is where we note the fit of the suit. If you have additional questions, please call 800.274.1815 or email service@brooksbrothers to speak with a representative. Warmest regards, Brooks Brothers

Does the Milano line have half-canvas construction?

Asked by: AGBB
Hello, thank you for your inquiry. Our Milano Navy Solid 1818 Suit is crafted using half-canvas construction. In fact, all of our 1818 suit collection is crafted as such, regardless of the fit (Milano, Fitzgerald, Regent and Madison). We do hope this information is helpful. Kind regards, Brooks Brothers

I plan on ordering a Milano fit suit. In the Regent fit, 40R was a perfect fit on the shoulders but too long in the sleeve(and back length) - by about an inch(or an inch and a half). In the Milano fit, should I go for a 40 R or a 40 S ? I'm in Australia at the moment, going to a BB store and trying it on won't be doable. Thanks for any and all advice.
Asked by: BrooksNewbie
There is a significant difference between the Regent and Milano fit suits. It is difficult to make a credible suggestion with the limited information provided. However, if you are a 40 Regular in Regent, then perhaps a 42 Regular in the Milano cut might be suitable. Also, double check to see if you are a Regular or Short in tailored clothing. If you are a Regular, the sleeves can be altered to your specification. The size. Suits are sized by combining your jacket measurement with a size category. These categories are Short, Regular, Long, and Extra Long. Generally, this breaks down by height as follows: Short – Up to 5’9″ Regular – 5’10″ to 6′ Long – 6′ to 6’4″ Extra Long – 6’4″ and up
