Before You Measure

The perfect suit begins with the perfect measurement. Wear a shrit or t-shirt, and empty your pockets. Stand naturally with relaxed shoulders. Always start your measurement from the “0” mark on the tape measure. Shoulder: At the widest point, measure across your back, from the outer edge of your left to outer edge of your right shoulder. Sleeve Length: With arm relaxed, measure from shoulder seam (where jacket sleeve meets body) to wrist bone. Chest: Measure around the fullest part of the chest, directly under the armpit, from front all the way around the back, until the tape measure ends meet. Inseam: Measure from the top of your inner thigh, where it meets your thigh, down to your ankle bone. Waist: Measure at your natural waistline, where you typically wear your dress trousers.
