One of Brooks Brothers founders, John Brooks, observed during a polo match in Englad that players pinned their shirt collars down to prevent flapping during play. Inspired, Brooks went on to create the Original Polo® Button-Down collar dress shirt. Brooks Brothers has a long history with clothing that transitions seamlessly from sport to street.
